Christmas Eve 2007. My son called from Japan after three months' work, and we had a long, lovely conversation. He and Kaoru are thinking of having children, but I'm not sure I'm ready to be called Grandma yet! We talked about my poetry, and he promised to look at it, although he expressed some misgivings about reading about his mother's youthful passions. He is an adult now, and that will simply give him a different perspective of me. I miss him so. He will be visiting in February, and I'll have a chance to hug him and reminisce about long ago.
I am working on two new books, the saga of how I met my husband, a romantic story which spans two continents, as well as a book about healthy weight control. The latter will incorporate some tried and true "tricks of the trade" as well as recipes of foods I grew up with in Israel, and foods to which I was introduced by my husband who is a great cook. Stay tuned.
